While preparing my 91-year-old mother-in-law's home for auction, my husband has brought home boxes full of nostalgia including old books, a handmade 10-pound dumbbell (compliments of his ever-frugal, Depression-era father), and a wonderful old ViewMaster. As anyone who's moved a parent out of the family home knows, it's an emotional ride full of laughter, tears and new storage concerns.
