I know it’s supposed to be the golden years, but you’d have to stick your head pretty deep in a hole not to realize it’s not all rainbows and unicorns. Body parts hurt. We lose loved ones. Or maybe the wrong Chinese food order was delivered. I hate that!
The good news is that you can control your reactions to life’s challenges. Mindset is a powerful mood changer. Half of your happiness level comes from your genes. Only 10% is situational. And fully 40% is in your control. That’s great news! Reading an uplifting quote can send you down the path of turning that frown upside down!

So use that 40% to your advantage! I’ve created a few daily habits that have really made a difference. Each morning before getting out of bed I name 3 things that I’m grateful for. I spend 10 minutes a day praying or meditating. There are inspirational quotes all around on mugs, posters, etc. It doesn’t take long, you just have to create the habits.
If you want to print out any of the quotes on the pictures below just click on the button under the photo. These are pictures I took on my walks (another way to improve happiness).

- 3. If you journal write your favorite quotes on the front page.
- 4. Make a magnet out of an inspirational quote
- 5. If you embroider put it on a pillowcase
- 6. Create a custom keychain.
- 7. Put it on a tee shirt.
However you recreate quotes that inspire you enjoy their sentiments often. They can literally improve the quality of your life.
